Nintendo has another mobile game coming your way, play as all your favorite Fire Emblem characters in this new strategy game that's out today! It's a free to play structure that gives you access to the entire game unlike Super Mario Run. There will be in-app purchases that will give you advantages and let you play longer. It looks very much like other Fire Emblem games, Nintendo put a lot of time and love into making this game not just a fire emblem rip off but a full on expansion to the Fire Emblem universe. I'm very happy to see this free to play platform as it means I will actually have a chance on spending money on the game because you know spending $1.99 20 times is much easier than $9.99 one time. I guess that's how clash of clans turned into one of the biggest games of all time.
It's now available for Download on IOS and Android devices.
Wait... What? A new mobile Pokémon game? With no trailers? With no Hype? Where did this even come from? These were all my questions this morning when I came across Pokémon Duel. Its a new Pokémon IOS and Android game announced and released Yesterday that features a board game like play style. This is so strange because the hype for pokemon go was built up months before it was released and it was massively successful. The play of this game is very simple, all you have to do is get one of your Pokémon over to you're opponents flag before they get to yours. The tutorial is pretty helpful in understanding of the game, unfortunately as soon as I finished my first battle I had some sort of error and was brought back to the title screen. After restarting the app I was able to try the tutorial all over again. This time I was able to open my first Pokémon only to crash again shortly after... now this is bringing me back memories of Pokémon GO!
Neat idea, needs better execution.
If you're excited for the switch then you're definitely excited for Super Mario Odyssey! This is Nintendo's first real open world game and it will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo switch. You will be able to travel and explore places anywhere from deep inner-city to countrysides. each environment will have things to do, enemies to defeat, and of course steps to rescuing peach from Bowser along with many things to collect on the way. Definitely a new experience from Nintendo something I thought we would never see along with new mechanics for getting around. I'm hoping it brings enough to the table for open world that lets you just goof around for a while and giving you that freedom to do something silly. Some of the best open world games are the ones with no direction that you could mess around with hours.
Excited to see it on launch! Check out the full trailer below!
There is this image out there of kids playing video games, staring at a screen, with blank looks on their faces, totally silent and not interacting with each other at all. This image does not fit with our experience in the Gamers Fun Truck. Kids playing video games together are excited, energetic and interactive! They jump up and shout when they succeed, or fail. They help each other with excited suggestions, and they compete against each other with the same excitement. They negotiate and compromise when its time to change games. They make room for each other, and they make new friends based on shared game interests. No one is ever left out. Video games are inclusive.
As parents and owners of Gamers Fun Truck, we love to pop into a party in the truck once in a while, and see how much fun the kids are having. That's the reason we do this!
